My application reached CIO on 3-8-2011

I should send the application earlier
I was late for IELTS

It is 41 days today since my application reached

Should i write an email to them after 2-3 days??

My application also same date as you send and received ( 13.35 by Kswardz ).you may mail to CIC next week me also , please update as well.

Let's not rush too much. Mine reached on 4th Aug.

Some people are saying that the cap reached (8th July) long time before the CIC announced (26th Aug), but I got doubts.........coz that's Canada and people are very professional........

Let's give CIC some more time to work on it.

I got a response to my enquiry and my application was received on 14 July.

Will have to try again next year!

I got a reply regarding my application yesterday from cic.

It said that they do not have any record of my submission.

Then i called them and an agent informed me that they are still opening the applications received on 8th of july. So i should wait till next week for any reply. I told him that some applicants after 11th july are getting there c/c charged already. So he informed me that there are many agents who open and assess the applications. So its normal that some which are received later are opened early.

But he confirmed that if i have the courier receipt which shows the application is received by there office on 8th. It will certainly be there. Only after the application is opened they put it in there computer. So , my application is yet to be opened.

I think it applies to some other applicants also who have received the same reply as me. So do not worry and have a little patience.

Actually for me this is not logic to be opened later than 8th. Is it like each officer who signed receiving the application from courier (i.e. Mike) work on his applications only !!! they should have a pool of applications, once an officer finish one, pick another ... weird !! but thanks for sharing the info.

They are still working on the 8th !! and it has been 2 months... I think mine which was received in 18th will need another 2 months

Thanks for the info..This is whats bothering me..Some later date applicants got their cc charged already but some earlier date applicants has no news yet on BD>...so they could be on a fast reviewer? while others like us might be on a slow reviewer? oo -ohh

Hi there - which agent did you speak to as applications after the 8th July have been processed. I think the agent was mis informed, was it you own agent who is handling your appication? If it was then they would have no idea of knowing and would have simply made up that fact.......

Also for everyone frantically wanting to email to find out their application status its 6 WEEKS after receipt of your documents, emailing before is pointless, or else there would be no 6 week rule folks....

You guys should think yourselves lucky, 6 weeks is nothing. It took the 2010 applicants around 4-5 months before ANYONE heard anything from CIO once our apps were submitted (first PER reported was around 23rd November 2010)!

Nooo, we don't think ourselves lucky ... actually we are the least lucky ppl whom applied in 2011. the Cap is reached as u know in August ... and they have reduced the numbers ... and probably ppl whom their application received in July 18th are in the yellow zone ;D

BTW, I've seen your blog,, its great idea for sharing that experience and timline .. Cong. for the landing
