1122 Post Application ON July 2011 Lets Share

Apologies for putting this negative information first on this forum

"All those applicants who claimed to have received an email from CIC about NOC 1122 CAP getting hit on 08/07/2011 and their applications getting returned because of this reason were "ABSOLUTELY RIGHT".

I hereby confirm the return of my application from CIC, NS. My consultant's branch office in Canada has received a couple of applications back from CIC stating that the CAP was hit. My application was received on 13/07/2011.

Even I require some time to digest this information, but this is a FACT.

I am surprised by the number of people who thought the advice on this one post was a lot of help. Guys, please beware what you believe. Inaccurate and misleading information such as those in the text below may cost you your application, and therefore your dream of making it to Canada. The CIC website and the its program guides are pretty straightforward. You hardly need any outside guidance if you just read the instructions carefully.

For now, out of genuine concern for everybody, let me just say:

1. my cousin had inside information that few forms were about to be revised - This hardly counts as insider information. If you subscribed to the CIC updates via their media centre, you would have had this information way before July 1. Alternately, you could have simply googled "Federal Skilled Worker Canada updates 2011" before July 1, just as I did, and found out what the new policies were, and whether or not there was any need to use new forms.

2.if they receive 2 applications, one with old forms and one with new on the same day and if its the final day for the cap to be reached and assuming only 1 application can be considered, the one with the latest forms will get through, hands down! Simply NOT TRUE. You just might have missed the cap because of the ill advise of your cousin to unnecessarily revise completely filled out perfectly acceptable forms.

3. If your job reference letter has the exact wordings of the JD specified by the CIC for NOC 1122, your file is given a higher importance than others who don't have it. NOT ONLY IS THIS NOT TRUE, IT IS ALSO THE SURE WAY TO GET YOUR APPLICATION REJECTED. There are two ways to validate my statement here: 1) use your logic, 2) read the CIC guide for crying out loud.

4. The higher your score, the better your chances! NOT TRUE. Just cross the threshold of 67 and you should be ok. You have as much chances as any Tom, Dick, and Harry who obtained 70 or better.

Now guys, I have had the good fortune of having met some incredibly wonderful people in this forum who I am sure will make wonderful neighbors for me and my family in Canada. I want them to get through the process successfully. I am saying my piece now because I have seen too many unqualified opinions (purporting to be "insider information") that may just get in the way of their successful application.

Is there anyone here who employed an agency or consultant which is stationed with Canada (local) ?

do you receive any news from those agency about the their applications ?

I've asked my consultants (lacated in Canada) about their applications and received the following on the 1st of September :

We have just had our first 1122 application returned. This application had arrived at the Intake Unit on July 8, and as indicated in the correspondence from the Intake Unit, the quota for NOC 1122 had been reached at this point. This was unknown to anyone, and the CIC did not announce the quota for NOC 1122 to be full until August 22, 2011.

I don't get why you're getting so aggressive! It's an open forum. I could have been wrong, my cousin could have been wrong. But there was no way I would have known about it unless someone enlightened me!
As you mentioned, you've seen too many cases, so probably, I agree, maybe you know more than me, maybe you're smarter than me... I get it..!
And I wish to stress on the point that, I did not intend anyone's application to fail.
If I did give a bit of advice, it was with good intentions, just like you!
Since, you noticed mistakes, highlighted them and gave your piece of good advice.. problem solved! I guess, everyone concerned out here will take note of it and beware.

I highly disregard getting personal on open forums. Calling someone "crazies" is not a decent way of talking to anyone.
There are more sober ways of putting things across! You should consider those!

We are all here to help one another... not to prove who knows how much and who's knowledge is more authentic!

Whoa! Too much, I say! Category opens on 1st July and is already full with 500 applications before 8th July. Wow!
Simply unbelievable!!!!
Have you, by any chance, inquired with your consultant about the next steps.
What do you plan on doing now?
As in, since it wasn't updated on the website, how are applicants supposed to know about it. Any plans on approaching CIO about this?

Sorry. I just rechecked my delivery receipt. It's 10:45 not 10:35. If you used Fedex, our application packs were probably on the same van. And yeah, it looks like we were the last ones taken in.

I've received three reply mails from CIO since last year when we first applied.

1)In Nov'2010: Applied on 31 Aug 2010 when we didn't include our birth certs. & our application was incomplete.

Our records indicate your submission was returned on 01 Sept 2010 as it was incomplete. A letter of explanation is included. We do not keep detailed records of each application returned so I am unable to supply case specific details.

2) In Mar'2010: Reapplied again on 20th Jan 2010.When we thought it was unfair to us we sent our package again in Jan with an explanation letter as they had started to accept other supporting docs in lieu of Birth Certs. for NDVO from Sep 2010 onwards.

According to my bank , which is DENA bank,India my DD got encashed on 30/8/2011.
My details are as under:
NOC: 1122
App Send: 16/7/2011
App recived by Mike: 21/7/2011 at 3.15 pm
My DD got realised on 30/8/2011, and banker said they encashed the money.
I request every one to check with their bank, who all has DD as a mode of payment.

If everyone is now claiming the cap ended on July 8th or whenever we want to think it id (though NONE of us actually know) - could you explain the posting above then? At the moment if the quota was reached on any day i'd say it was 21st July for now but then it could be later, the point is there is no correlation between received date and charge date, look through the history.

Bottom line is WE DON'T KNOW WHEN THE CAP FILLED
