Don't they send it to visa office for assessment after assigning file number? Or will CIO do more assessment this time onward..?

I think they (CIO) will give you anyways a Client ID before CIO's PER and therefore before sending it for further assessment to the VO. I read somewhere in the forum that some people who got the application rejected had a ID number on it...

If you send an email asking for your file they usually reply with your ID number otherwise you have to wait for PER.

Even the applications that get sent back because of the cap being reached have a number on it as well.. This happens much before the file reaches the VO..

Satish

Your case is very strange really! Hope this is true and good luck to you .......... But i asked with the Branch Manager of my Bank (Foreign Bank) few days back and he told me that clearance of BD takes minimum 3-5 days. Even in case of international remittance it takes at least 1-2 days. Not only this but even in the same country, clearance of crooss cheques, pay orders and such instruments takes atleast 1-2 days

Moreover, CIC also takes atleast few days in reviewing the application, especially in the order, the applications are received!

R u sure that date was 15th July, not 15th August, when the BD was presented!

If its true then its really a sort of miracle

My application is received on 14 july too!! I will also check with my bank regarding my BD tomorrow or on Monday!!

Dear Mr. Khan
You are absolutely correct when u say they take few days for clearance of BD. I never mentioned that my BD was cleared on 15th of july I said it was presented for clearing.
second I am not being too optimistic about my case but let me bring to your notice that some people in the forum itself have mentioned that their application sent on 28th of October last year or so, got rejected as the cap was filled and few people have said that some of the application on the same day was accepted that means their may be a marginal difference of few hours so if they might not opening the application on the very same day how this can happen.
see as none of us works with CIO neither we have internal contacts which can help us in knowing the way of their working all we can do is assume based on our knowledge of the procedure.
But their are certain logic which cannot be overruled like if we worked at the CIO and we had enough application for immigration why will we not update the no.s in case we all know that their is huge backlog with previous year files and inviting more applications after the Cap is filled is going to add up the workload so what should be the priority according to you.
If i have to answer i will say i will stop all the new application intake once the cap is filled and that can only be done by checking the application everyday and updating the site on daily basis (i.e. why we saw the site getting updated almost every alternate day).
I may be wrong everyone suggestions are welcome.

Does that mean, before getting any AOR / PER you will definately get Client Id...? If so can anyone tell me how we know what is the client id for our application.....?

Send them an email after 6 weeks from the date they received your application, see the bottom of this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-after.asp. The Client ID is a credential you get for controlling your application status. see https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

If it has been more than 6 weeks since you filed your application you can email CIO at FSW‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry@cic.gc.ca and make any enquiry..

The context of the comment above was whether any id gets generated before the app reaches VO or not.
You cannot request them for this number, instead you would come to know of it when any communication from their side reaches you.

Dear Friends at this site.

I have received the following email from CIC office.

Your application # is E000033793. Your file is currently awaiting assessment. Notification will be sent in due course.

What does it mean for me.

Whether CIC would have charged DD at this stage

If you see June Thread you will notice that people send emails for checking status and usually received their client ID back. You can use it to track your application. They give that number after CC is charged/ BD is encashed.

Congrats
