Hi, my belief is that an application counts towards the cap once the completeness check has been performed.

My guess is then that encashment then happens concurrently with the file being sent for the eligibility review (i.e. payment slip sent to accounts department, file sent to immigration officer for eligibility review). So delays in encashment could simply be workload within the accounts department/team.

However unless we get anyone from CIO telling us exactly how it works, we can only guess with regards their internal structure!

We will have to see what happens with the next update. I was very surprised to see only 10 more for 1122, but then again just because they only opened and checked 10 more, it does not mean that many more are not still waiting.

Good news folks. I can also report that sometime between Aug 2nd and 3rd my CC was debited for fees... Yay!

Please keep the faith and positive thinking people. I'm a 6th July applicant so they are slowly making their way through applications. I expect other forum members to gradually confirm their CCs are debited, and BDs encashed. Be patient.

Like someone else said on this forum, this is the first step. We still have to go through eligibility reviews, medicals etc, but I can breathe a small sigh of relief for getting through this initial stage!

Scottish you can relax like a fish in water. So on average it took say 28 days from the date of applicatio receipt to cc encahsed. Mine was received by same KRSDWA on July 25th, so I got about say 20 days to start worrying about cc encahsed, everything being equal. I also missed the cap last yr because of IELTS.

I missed the cap last year as I didn't have docs prepared in time, so this year I was very prepared and spent a lot of time putting together and reviewing our app (I'm principal applicant).

The spreadsheet is a useful indicator as to who is being processed when. If you have made a thorough and comprehensive application, then you should be confident. There is still time and places left in the 1122 cap.

We are all here to support one another; it's fantastic to have a forum like this and I aim to keep in touch with our progress and share the knowledge!

I think there is no correlation between billing and application passed eligibility test.
billing is done by a different department and they have many other things to do, not only billing our fees so there is no connection.
I also think there is no reason that the CIC is slowing down. So the fact that last update was only 10, means that the flow of files is slowing down.

We have no way to really know how long it takes from the moment the file arrives, until it get checked.

Well hope is all we have it would seem - lots of speculation but thats normal Its a shame one of us doesn't know some one or have worked there ourselves. I do not belive there is a correlation between packs being received and payments being taken though, though i could be wrong.

My visa agent (reputable London based firm with heaps of years in the industry) have said that my pack which arrived within the last couple of days is within the quota - but like everything to do with this process i will only belive anything when i see it in writing

Hmm the update on 2 August had NOC 1122 on a total of 269.

So that's 38 applications in one day, not really slow!!!

At that rate, the cap will be full by next week.

yes...now hoping for best...whats inspiring is that couple of friends in this forum is having their cc/bd charged....but the worrying part is their application reached on 5th, 6th july....then what will happen to us whose applications reached after 20h july....
