According to what I read it this forum, there is no indication that the CIC has a huge backlog of application.
Also there is no indication that they handle the request on first come first served basis, I have a feeling that the order is somewhat random.
So I am more optimistic then many members of this forum.

Yes i see that too, some people seem to think though that there is a lot to go through, even other vehicles being booked for immigration pack delivery i did hear as well but these things can easily be misunderstood. I'm hopeing there is no huge pile myself :)

Dear All,

I read on CIC website that as of July 18 2011, a new system regarding sending AOR will be implemented. Meaning that the AOR will be automated since it is now integrated in the new GCMS.

Hi rud leb,

Exactly where you read this on CIC website. Can you provide us link.

Thanx.

Hi RKC,

This is true even my agent has confirmed this. I even tried posting about this on our forum yesterday and tried explaining that this change may act as breather for us but my post was termed as illogical by a few of the forum members :D

Hi all
I found the link were it states that AOR's are being automated starting the 18th of July

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob327.asp

Lets hope for the best!

since I cannot post links here, you can check on CIC website: Publications/Operational manuals and bulletins/Operational Bulletins/OB 327 – July 18, 2011

;D

BTW, for FSW no AOR's will be sent.

Read the table "Office issuing the AOR"
Federal Skilled Worker Program

Because of short processing times between application creation in GCMS and eligibility letter, CIO cancels the AOR.
The visa office must manually send an AOR to the PR applicant or authorized representative once PR file is received.

How you will know that your application is being proccessed then?

I guess we have to wait for the PER or NER. Maybe the first step to know if it's at least considered would be that they charge the fee through cc/bd

Jeca,

So now for us there wouldn't be any communication from CIO Sydney ( no PERs/ NERs, 1st AORs).

AORs would be sent by VOs after they receive our forwarded files. (only 1 AOR unlike before)

Now, we will come to know if our application qualifies & will be placed into processing both at the same time only after it reaches VO.

Long wait ...

No I don't think it's like that, before it gets to the VO, What I understood it that we will get a communication by CIC stating if ge got a Positive or Negative Eligibility Review. Then probably the VO will manually send us an AOR but before we get the PER/NER from CIC including our client number to check in the online system.
That's how I understood...

Payment of processing fees ensures our place in queue. Those who qualify with regards to MI3 enter the next phase i.e. Eligibilty review according to six selection factors .

What if the cap was closed and we still didn't get any reply or the cc hasn't been charged yet?

Then how is it different from post 26th June 2010 applicants of last year. Does it affect the end user any way.

If your processing fees is not taken even after 6 weeks of filed date, you can contact them & make a case specific inquiry.

Can I contact them after 6 weeks even though I have a representative. Can I do it directly. What reference should I give them in the mail.
