Thats very true unfortunately, it happens from there in the UK alot - so much so that we have had a series of programmes (documentaries) following immigration in this country and watching people who try it on and what happens - it actualy covers all nationalities i would have to stereotype! I'm not against anyone having the right to go and work abroad wherever it may be but its not fair on us who have worked for our qualifications and work experience and now want to diversify in an honest manner. If and i hope there isn't, anyone is thinking about it remeber that Canada will ban you from entering the country for around 10 years if you have tried to lie, the same applies for other countries as well, is it worth it? In under 10 years you may have been able to get what you need to go there legitimately. Lifes a long song!

So much scam coming out of India! I read from several posts that most reps there are funny and dubious. It is kind of strange for just one rep to submit 350applications for NOC1122. This is just an indication of shoddy job aimed at making money and not to get applicant a slot in the cap.

With this, I doubt if such agency could be reputable at all. CIC is aware of scams from India and surely is the reason for the biometric for them.
Sry, but what has CIC's biometric to do with a high no. of genuine applications, against a limited quota?

I sort of highlighed an unethical issue with agencies selling new clients/ applicants, a cow that is dead! Also, this isnt just happening in India. Chew on it- If you're an agent, Would you really restrict the no. of applicants you take on board in lock step with the Available Quota for the year? What would be your response? I'm sure you would have a legal agreement signed with your client before hand to cover the scenario if the application returns owing to closure of cap. It is kind of free money for them!!

I therefore stress again that it is very Important for CIC to update close to reality numbers on atleast a weekly basis, that avoids this chaos and setting wrong expectations with applicants.

My 2 pence

One update is the reason a lot of applications are being returned is due to fraudulent docuemnts and incomplete files - the cic are clamping down very hard of false documentation through investigation which has been a huge issue in the past and no doubt the future. They must receive a huge amount of applications under NOC1122 but with one mistake or an dubious information they'll just send it back and you have to start again - my agent (a very reputable London based firm) spoke to me about it this morning and that is what they are hearing from their contacts in Canada. Why oh why do people have to go in with false documents, it happens in the UK all the time and you can't get away with it, best do things properly i say, and double check, followed by triple check your files, it could well be worth it!

Also - does anyone know when the next quota update is likely to be released, 52 was the first for NOC1122, is the next likely in August as a monthly note?

Many thanks :)
is it GLOBALVISAS? pls dont beleive them. they r simply fraud.

Hi there - its not Global Visas no, far from it. Its only hearsay at the end of the day, just a bit of gossip but some people go by 'theres always truth in a rumour' - personally i go by what happens is the truth! I have read about it though on canadian immigration websites, it must go on, alwyas has and always will! Best ignore it i think at our level :)

Guys whose application were received by CIO on the 5th of July are getting their CC charged on the 27 th of july.
That means they were not in the list of 52 complete applications received list updated by CIO last week.
So 52 applications received before july 5th.
At this rate i think the persons whose applications were received by CIO before the 10Th of july will only make it within the 500 CAP.
It will be more clear when the CIO updates the list again.

Congratulation for passing the first step, I'm so glad for you.
My question is: since am preparing to send my application by Aug 5, let me know in general what you have included with your application, did you send your PC? did you thought that there is any document would be a reason of rejection coz it was not the way CIO wants it? I just want to make sure as much as I can of everything before I send my application. One last qs.: how many points you got? anything you can share with me could be a revival!!.

Once again, congratulation :)
Hi walidcanada!

Thanks for your good wishes!

I really dont have any specific answer for you with regards to contents of my application. I basically tried to include everything the CIO requested + everything required by the London Office (as was mentioned in the instructions). Please clarify what you mean by "PC".

I think the only reason that a document could cause "rejection" is when it is either fraudulent of implicates the applicant in some sort of illegal activity. So unless there is something very dubious on your documents, there is no need to fear 'rejection'. I am by no means an expert on these issues but my experience with Canadian authorities is that they will give you a fairly decent chance of proving to them that you are a valuable addition to their society. Remember, though things may have slowed down from the hey days of 80's and 90's, but Canada is by and large dependent on immigration to meet its growing demands of labor. It is the second largest country in the world by area, with a population approximately equivalent to Tokyo. In other words, don't worry too much about any particular aspect of your package causing rejection. Present yourself accurately and things will hopefully work out.

Compared to some of the other people on this forum, my points score was low. I think i scored 68 / 70 (depending on how my work experience is calculated. I am not married, and I am only 25, meaning I don't have many years of work experience.

I encourage you to send your application as soon as possible. If you have your IELTS results, do not wait. Send it tomorrow if you can. You might not make it in the cap if you wait till August.

Good luck!

Its the same case as me.
There were checks and marks like my file had been read by someone at the CIO. Guess i just was not lucky last year. Hoping that things would turn around this year.
Congratulations to you.. and Best of Luck for the rest of the process.

priyavig,

I applied last year but my package was received by CIO after the cap had been filled. They had not updated the total application count when I mailed my materials. In any case, because I had prepared everything last time, I found it much easier to mail my materials on time when the caps were revised on July 1st.

As they say, every cloud has a silver lining!!

Good luck!

Hi Ravi

Where did you get this info/how do you know this? Very interesting. My app was received on 6th July, so there's still a glimmer of light, I think?!

I'd argue alot of guys that sent their packs to be delivered on 5th July would get rejected - a lot of the new docuemnts that have to be included were not released until the 4th July so unless these people hand delivered their packs they could be in trouble. But there will be a back log and a huge number sent, best just to try i think!

Also - there is news stories around this subject that they are reviewing the numbers ongoing, we could always hope that they increase the cap 'mid-flight' but i doubt that is likely.....

Richardo, I do not agree. The websites states:

Applications that are received by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) on or after November 14, 2011 that have not been prepared using the updated Instruction Guide and the Document Checklist (IMM 5612), will be returned as incomplete.

Note: As of July 18, 2011, applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008). Applicants are encouraged to complete the form electronically and validate the information to generate 2D barcodes before printing. To ensure you have the most recent application form, please use the link to the application form below.

The new docs (those of which actually apply to your particular circumstances) will more than likely be asked for by CIO if your sent pack didn't contain them. They should not reject apps received before July 18th based on old forms.
