To add to what Himelocean has said above, the messages of "in process" and "initial assessment" only mean that your application is still lying in their mail room and that they are yet to open and check it. Once they open it and find that there is no document in support of any arranged job (as in the case of every FSW1 app) they would just place a covering letter and return the app back.. There is absolutely no hope for applications that have reached after the 8th of July...

You are right buddy. And till today there is not a single applicant of after 8th July claim that he/she got PER or AOR. They made capping on 8th July 2011 100% sure.

i tried that no but i didnt found any option for federal skill worker,there is a option for application status but only for applicants whose got AOR ,i also spoke to agent he told me there is no such option!!!!!!!!!!!!

2)select application ststus

Hi Sandip,

I dont know the exact options, but you have to select "application status" and ask the agent about your file. I mentioned the agent that I do not have any reference number yet and she was able to look under my name and date of birth. She asked some more security questions (as place of birth and resident address) and she located my file.

I am 100% sure you do not need a reference for the agent. Tell them that you have applied in August and have not heard anything yet.

I just happened to read your post and had a query. You mentioned your application reached CIO on 17th Aug and that you've received an email from CIO. Was this email from CIO in reply to your inquiry? Or did they voluntarily send across an email to you?
My application reached CIO on 22nd of Aug., the day the cap closed officially on the website. But I haven't received any kind of email from the CIO yet. What do you reckon?

Yes, it was in reply to my email. They don't send any communication when they return the files. I don't want to sound negative, but 22nd Aug' could be too late for this year. Good luck and I really hope that they at least accept your application.
