1122 Post Application ON July 2011 Lets Share

I have applied under FSW, Category 1122. My application has been reached at CIC on 25th of July, 2011.

After 6 week of my application has been reached, I have inquired to CIC regarding the status of application. Below is the conversation.

I am confused with answer of CIO. Is it a positive sign ? Because in your case they have mention that they have return your application because of capacity has been reached

I had sent my application file for FSW (category 1122) received by CIO on July 25, 2011. The details are given below.

I wanted to know the status of my application, as it is already six weeks that my application has been received at the CIO.

I regret to say this but whatever they have mentioned above only means that they have not yet opened your app. I emailed them thrice, for the first two emails I got the same response as you got. For the third email I got the response that I have posted. Send another email after a week you'll get the correct response. Now they are opening the applications that reached them on the 20th and 21st July.

Grim is absolutely 100% correct.
Earlier they replied to me that ur file is waiting initial review nd on next query they replied that ur file has been returned on 15h sep due to cap reached..................!!!

Nah bd hasn't charged yet. Just got it checked yesterday.

I know i have lost the game, but still hope is immortal.

Thanks, Phil. I did not realize that a band score of 9.0 was a rare occurrence until after people in the forum told me about it. Somebody said I should put it in my forum profile, so I did. I really hope a 9.0 helps get me a PER, and ultimately, an immigrant visa. I am seriously worried about the eligibility review. I think after the PER, things will just fall into place on their own. So I will only be celebrating as soon as I get a PER.

I am happy for you and everyone else who has got a PER. I will let you know as soon as I get a PER, or a NER for that matter.

Good luck alaindotcom! We're pretty similar timelines and I got PER on 21st Sept, so thinking of you and hoping it will all work out ... So we can meet up for that barbie and beers!

I'm not sure how to comment on this, but maybe seniors can analyze the data a little bit more as per their valuable experience.

If the supposed document for immigration goals of Canada is true I think it could be viewed this way
Disclaimer: this is my personal interpretation of the said document
Total FSW = 55900
Total FSW 1 (without job offer)= 10000 as published under MI3
Total FSW 2 (with job offer) = (Total FSW – FSW 1)= 45900
Total Percentage for FSW 1 = 17%
Total Percentage for FSW2 = 83%
How to determine the numbers per VO:
e.g. Manila Immigration goal = 3000
Manila FSW 2 goal = (3000 x FSW2 percentage) = 2463 with approved JO
Manila FSW 1 goal = (3000xFSW1 percentage) = 537
However, it must be noted that the priority of Canada is for those who fall under FSW2, thus numbers may favor FSW2 rather than FSW1. 500 Cap per NOC should also be considered for this, for example NOC 1122 was filled by applicants from London and New Delhi the number for FSW1-NOC 1122 for manila will not be entertained by CIC even if the FSW1 Target for manila was not yet full.

CIC has written "awaiting initial assessment" instead of "awaiting initial review". As I know that assessment come after review.

Thanks ScottishK. My ccard was charged on the 15th of August. I am thinking I should count 2 weeks from receipt of your PER for my own PER to come through. If and when we get our respective visas, we should move this forum to Facebook so we can begin to share settlement experiences. Bbq and beers will be in Calgary c/o Phil Chen. hahaha.

I am speaking like I have my PER in the bag. hehe. Scary.

sbo, was your credit card charged?

if we consider july 8th to be the probable cap date, the day your file was also received.. and its still awaiting initial processing...
maybe its in a pool to replace any NERs that had already made into the cap...

just a thought... some also say they dont do that... but its practical.

Even I think I'm in the probable pool of applicants (if anything like this exists), as I can't think of any other reason of why my application hasn't been reviewed yet. But, are we sure that July 8th was when the CAP for 1122 was filled? What about the CC's being charged for applicants who applied post July 8th???
I'm just confused....and praying that if they are holding on to my file till now...hope somehow it makes it through...... (*fingers crossed*).....

Your's is an interesting case.. Your app was received on the 8th Of July and still they are sending this email.. Then I sense a slight ray of hope for you.. May be they are holding back your app as a possible replacement for any rejection..

Yes! hope so too.. I do not think any CC was reported charged post July 8th for 1122... only BDs.
