Yes after 6 weeks u can e-mail them and ask the status of ur application..............

Who can I send the email to find the status of my application? What's the email address? And on what basis should I ask the status? Just send my full name and maybe passport details?? Anyone who sent their application in 1st week of July, but haven't heard back and have written to CIO and received a response? Please help.

what he says is ....

"I got the number from this forum and i dont think that i have this but still i will check my table if i found i will give. just check the cic site i hope u will get it there. once u call follow the instuctions after 15 min u will reach fsw desk then they will hold u again 10-15 min.

Use this number +1 613 944 4000 and you should dial 1-2-1-2-0 to talk to a operator. They would be able to tell you about you application. The timing is 8.00am-4.00pm.........Good Luck."

my application reached on the 8th and since i hadnt heard i mailed them on thursaday, still waiting for them to respond.
as per a few people who contacted the CIC last year they said that emailing them is better than calling the call center as they have restricted access.
