11 months No Update Inland Sponsorship

Hi everyone,

My application was received March 28th 2017, so far we have only had the following done:

AOR Number
Schedule A
Health Check (Requested and completed this month)

We have contacted the IRCC to get notes on our file, asked to clarify a few things but didn't get any reply back in over 2 weeks. Even our local MP is not responding to us anymore.

No other items have been completed, my sponsorship part of the application still doesn't show decision made. My wife's is processing but mine hasn't even started.

Question for you guys:

Is our application processing normally?
Who can I contact for a status update, or to help push the application through?
Is waiting 11 months normal with no updates?

Did you have valid status in Canada when you applied? Did you include an OWP with the application?

Unfortunately there's no one who can push the application through.

Yes my wife has an OWP right now. We actually just received a message asking for additional documents on Feb 24th but we didn't receive anything. No message was sent to us on what they are requiring. Very worried being near our deadline of March 28th. I heard a few people say back in July/Aug that this was a glitch?

i'd call ircc call-centre to make sure you haven't missed any correspondence. most likely it's a glitch but better be safe than sorry.

The 'review of additional document' changed to 'we need more documents to process your applicaiton. it is because you request NOTE before. Nothing to worry. you are not the only. patience is virtue.

Did you request notes from the IRCC as well? Do you know anyone else that is having this same issue?

I don't think the 12 months is a deadline, just average processing time so some are shorter and some are longer. But the whole process is a nightmare with such deafening gaps of silence, wish they had a more informative system as what goes on with the apps. I hate to think how we would get through the process without this forum as at least you learn how they operate and eases your mind somewhat
