Hi,

When I created the profile after 11 months of experience in Canada, my EE points crossed 400 and I got OINP PT but I am confused if I can send the application package now as application guide says, one should have 12 months experience.

If I can not send, then I am completing 12 months exactly on 25th Feb but my 45 days deadline is 20th of Feb.

Looking for suggestions from experts.

Thanks

No, you can't submit. You need 12 months of experience (ie 52 weeks * 30hrs). This is what constitutes 'full-time' employment. It has to be at the date your receive the ITA (not the date you submit). If this requirement wasn't there people could clock up the hrs in a quicker period of time and claim it as '1 year' of work experience.

not eligible . needs to complete 12 full months at the time of ITA

If it is a requirement at the time of ITA, can't he go ahead with his application for OINP now? ITA would take several months easily after OINP.

Hi JoacRy,

This is my OINP application and the time I will enter Feb, it will be 12 months and I have 40 hrs of working per week which I can prove.

I am just trying to understand, if EE increases point based on some calculation which is beyond our jurisdiction, then OINP extends PT based on the same and puts 45days deadline which again contradicts each other if that makes me not eligible to send OINP application package.

I am planning to wait some time and hand deliver the application few days before the deadline, so that by the time AOR, I will cross the line of 12 months.

Although I have put the same query to OINP, let me see what response am I getting.

Thanks

I think you are right. Go ahead. Read the OINP document once again.

Others,

He is not talking about ITA but PT from OINP

I believe lockin date for your application will be on the day when you hand deliver your application. If they calculate from that time you might have not completed 12 months technically and there is a chance for application to be returned. I think once you cross 12 months you can again create the EE profile to get the OINP letter

Did you claim points for 1 year exp. when you have 11 months exp?
If that is the case then dont respond.

Else you can. Please be clear.

Based on my own personal experience, I would advice you wait for the complete 365 days if possible 366 days. OINP rejected my application because I received the PT notification 8 days before my 365 days (1 year) despite the fact that I didn't even apply until the following month of receiving my PT notification. So keep ur 1500

OINP is a nomination that comes after you are eligible for express entry . in order to be eligible for express entry you have to be eligible for one of the three federal programs laid down by cic. as said , the OP has not achieved the eligibility yet and ontario is very strict.

Hi ero,

Thanks

I was waiting to hear something like this from personal experience. This is very helpful. Then I will wait for the response form OINP on same query. Let me see what they are saying then I will withdraw and create another profile on March 1st week.

Thanks Again.
