Again I'm saying this.

Once the VO figures out you were on vacation, they will check to see whether it was paid. And to make sure, they can ask for additional documents including payslip.
I agree! better safe than sorry.

Can I ask my question here.

What if the vacations are paid and they are 8-9 weeks long. My question is specific to federal skilled worked not Canadian work. As I work like a lecturer who has 6 weeks off during summer and 1 week off after every semester for the total of 3 weeks for 3 semester. So after my 52nd week, do I need to wait for 8 more weeks before creating my profile ?

"An allowance for a reasonable period of vacation time will generally be made in calculating the period of qualifying work experience (e.g., a two-week period of paid vacation leave within a given 52-week period in which the applicant was engaged in qualifying work experience). An allowance for normal vacation time during a period of qualifying work experience cannot be used as a substitute or proxy for meeting the in-Canada element of the work experience requirement (i.e., work experience obtained outside Canada will not be considered as though the applicant had been on a period of vacation in order to be counted as part of the period of in-Canada work experience). While officers will account for a reasonable period of vacation time in calculating the period of qualifying work experience in Canada, each application is considered on its own merits with a final decision based on a review of all the information available to the officer at the time of decision."
Basically, this link clears all the confusions. VO will calculate a reasonable time for vacation. 2 week in 52 weeks while I was on vacation for 3 weeks in 3 years, where I was allowed to take 6 weeks of vacstion in 3 years according to the link. Now, I was on unpaid vacation; so my company had both options for me, either get paid vacation or get 4% of vacation pay. I selected 4% of vacation pay on every paycheck, paid to me bi-weekly. I think I am clear that I was with in resonable vacation time in 3 years even though I visited back home and I was getting paid for those vacation bi-weekly 4%.

surfing through the internet i also found out some conversation from 2103 where they were discussing the exact topic someone called cic and they said "
I called up CIC and they said that they're only looking for major activities and to ensure there are NO time gaps.

I.e.

If you were employed and vacationing for a couple of days/weeks...no big deal.
If you were employed and vacationing for a month or more...kinda of a big deal....mention it in the list.
If you were unemployed and vacationing for ANY period of time....BIG DEAL...mention that you were unemployed and vacationing

That's the reasoning I got from the CIC agent.

Thanks! "

so far what i have understood is that if its a paid vacation then there is no issue at all , if its unpaid then you can either wait and then accept invitation when your actual full paid work experience get completed " lets say if we took a month of unpaid vacation and if your applying for 1 year of work experience then accept ITA after 13 months(12+1 month for unpaid vacation we took ) of continues work experience , if not ,the second option is to just accept the ITA and declare the vacation dates specifically in a LOE and let them deal with it . ::)

You have to meet all requirements both at the time of getting ITA and application submission.

If you got an ITA without meeting requirements first, you'll be rejected or, worse, accused of misrepresentation.

I can not work longer than 3 years, means longer than 12 months to make up with 3 weeks of vacation by working 13th month because my PGWP will expire exactly 3rd year last day of my work. lol.

But in the express entry profile, there is no option to select for vacation or subtracting 1 month in the middle, which means that the profile will be automatically updated as 3 years of experience as soon I hit 3 years of work from start date to finish date.

So later if they ask then we can give reasons.

I'm really confused why you are worried about this. I have taken unpaid vacation and I'm sure lots of people do. You still have an ongoing job with them and your employment continued when you got back from vacation. If you had been gone for a month or two then sure, say something, but you took a 3 week holiday which you are entitled to. Dude, you don't even have to mention it. Providing you have worked and can prove in the reference letter that you worked for 3 years from say Jan 2013 to Jan 2016 then you are fine!

It will matter more for in-Canada work experience. Simplistic example: Say your letter states you earn 48,000 year. Your T4 shows only 44,000 year. VO will know a month is missing. It is not uncommon for immigrants to take a leave of absence, VOs know this. This could trigger a request for paystubs, etc. Much better off being honest...

What if it's one month/year paid vacation for two years? So in my case, I have 2 years and 20 days CWE and 64 days of paid vacation supported by payslips! Will this be counted or not?
