1060 score | ITA recieved || Adding spouse after September

Hi All,

I am having score of 1060 and received an ITA. .I am getting married in September. So i am planning to submit my document at exact after 80 days (mid August) . Reason for submitting my application late is so that I can add my spouse in my application post September. I don't want to go so far in PR application that my spouse cannot get added in my application. Please let me know if i am taking right steps. Please advice.

Also please note that I got 1060 score because of 600 from OINP. My ONIP is going to expire on 3 July.Do you think post September when i am adding my spouse , my score will be recalculate?Please advice.

Even if your score recalculates you will still be waaaaaaay above the CRS because of your nomination. You can add your spouse even after PPR as long as you don't land in Canada without them. So after you're married update you application to include your spouse and submit the required documents to add her to your profile (medicals, police report.. etc.)

You don't have to delay (80 days) if this jeopardizes your nomination in anyway.

Ok Thanks. so you mean to say in September CIC will recalculate my score against 1060 (even though my ONIP nomination is expiring on 3 July ).

If you have sent your AOR, they will not recalculate your score if following happened:
1. you applied as singe and your future spouse is not mentioned in your application at the moment (for example as common law non accompanying)
2. You have added your future spouse as common law accompanying already.

It is stated in rules, that in case of family composition change after AOR (marriage, divorce, birth or death), there will be no recalculation of score done.

They might go to recalculation only if family composition was not changed (changing from accompanying to non accompanying or reversed is not considered as family composition change).

So no worries about score recalculation.
When it comes to your nomination certificate, it is supposed to be valid on the day of AOR (which it was).
Ontario only requires you to keep 400+ until the day of your AOR
But it is a good idea to inform your province about marriage (also I did not see any specific request for that after AOR).

Get ready all PCC for your future spouse and medicals as well.

No You cannot change spouse accompanying after you receive Nomination.
