Technically, I will complete one year of full-time employment on September 15th (including both my current occupation - Physiotherapist - and also my previous occupation - Physiotherapist Assistant). However I was going thorough my pay slips (I am paid every 2 weeks) and I got to find out that for 2 payment periods, I ended up working less than 60 hours (or 30 hours/week). I am able to provide CIC with reference letters for both positions, however I am afraid that they might request additional information.

Would you recommend waiting another month (so I can actually have 2 payment periods of a minimum of 60 hours)?

Does your work experience in the last 1 year (till Sep 15th) add up to at least 1560 hours? It might be alright if you went below 30 hours/week for just 2 weeks out of 52 as long as your overall working hours exceed 1560 hours for the year.

Thank you for the reply. That makes sense. I would have to keep adding up those hours until I get the minimum required!
Thank you so much =)

If the only reason you are short on 2 pay periods is because you took vacation, then don't worry about it.

BTW - pay stubs are NOT a required document. CIC will first look at your letters of employment, to see how many hours you work per week, as attested by your employer. If your employer says 30 or more, then CIC will consider you to be full-time.

Based on your letters of employment, they can also calculate your approximate annual earnings, even if you are paid hourly instead of salary. For example, if your letter says you work 35 hours per week and earn $22 per hour, then you should make about 40K per year, and your T4s should reflect that.

IF there is a major difference between what your letter says and your T4, then CIC will want an explanation. Paystubs may come in handy in such cases.

Such a great help, can’t thank you enough =)

I am actually 45 minutes short on 1 payment period and on the other I am short if not considering a sick day + one statutory holiday. Would that be okay?

Thank you for the heads up on the pay stubs: I’ve got them as a back up plan now, if required! However I have a question: the only T4 I have reflects the 2014 year, on which I only worked as a full-time Physio Assistant from Mid September to November and as a Physio for December. Can my employer provide me with a new one for the 2015 year, around Mid September (once I complete one year of full-time employment)?
