hey guys the 1 year certificate is about 8months of academic studies will me PGWP be issued for 8 months or 12 months?

According to the rules you should get only a 8 months PGWP, but many people are given a 12 month PGWP. It depends on who processes your request at CIC, if they are a stickler for rules than 8 monthsselimulated said:

Hi, sorry for interrupting the post and asking another question related to PGWP. I see you are a hero member so you might have a decent answer for me. I'm a masters student, this is my 2nd year. I had an authorized Leave of absence last summer (medical leave) then I returned on September 1, 2018, as a full-time student and till now everything is okay. The new rules say that if my leave is authorized, I may be eligible for PGWP. Did you encounter any case similar to mine and ended up having a successful PGWP? Thank you.
