Anyone else have any experience with applying Outland and was able to stay in Canada throughout the process?

We applied Outland while staying in Canada during processing which is still on going. We applied for visitor visa extentions to maintain legal status in Canada beyond the 6 months. This has allowed us to live together during processing.

My wife is doing exactly that...she's been staying with me as a visitor for years now (we've extended several times without issue) while her PR application has been in process. We applied back in March, she got her passport request a few weeks ago, so we're hoping it'll actually wrap up soon. then it'll be a trip to Niagara Falls for a day!.

I stayed in Canada the entire time. I extended my stay once and they gave me 2 years. When I received COPR, me and my wife hopped in the car right away and drove across the border, did some shopping, then came back and landed.
