1 month of waiting to get passport back from Detroit !!!

Thanks for the info...but my status is still MR received even after 1 month of receiving Passport....keeping calm....hope the status changes soon and they dont take 2 weeks after that to send my passport back !!!

check to see whether your tracking number is activated. sometimes they mail it before they update in the site.

I think you are suppose to withdraw the FSW application before a decision is finally made on ur CEC application.

I applied under CEC, took about 8 mths in total from the day I submitted my application until the day I received by confirmation of PR.
Is pretty fast

I'm also from Calgary as well
I've just received my confirmation of PR last thur, which I believe you are going to get yours very soon ;D
My question is do you have any idea on the last part of the process to meet an immigration officer?
where exactly are you planning to do that?
On the document said we could do it locally, if we called CIC to book an appt. I called on last Friday and spoke to a CIC agent, she said will have a local immigration officer to call me back to set up an appointment, but so far have not yet receive any call. They told me on the phone that the current schedule if to do it locally is booked up for 7 weeks in advance already
Or if your plan is to go to international airport or US boarder and come back??

Hi Jessica,
I read one of your posts where you mentioned you finally made it after 10 years right? Well i have been here for almost 9 years too..( i know its a long way to get canadian status. ) From what I have heard, If you do it over the phone it takes longer to get your pr card.
About crossing border or visiting home country, I have heard thats your decision; although from what I read from CanadaVisa Forum users; if I would plan to go and come back from home country; I would require a Travel Document.
My Decision is still undecided but I plan to cross US Border.
By the way, do you have a deadline on your IMMIGRANT VISa to exit Canada or enter Canada ?? ( sorry i have no clue about that).
