1 interest to sponsor form for 2 parents(divorced)

Hello,

Just a thought if I made 1 interest to sponsor form to sponsor two of my parents of who are divorced to each other.

I know CIC website states that I have to apply as two separate principle applicants which means two separate application.

But did I need to apply for 2 interest to sponsor forms? If anybody knows a solid answer or anything from CIC website please let me know because in my opinion it’s still consider 1 family of the sponsor.

if your parents are divorced.......they will need separate sponsorship application because neither could include the other as a dependent spouse as they are no longer married.

Hey Wakki, thanks for your response.

So I know I have to apply for separate sponsorship(PR) application.

But did I have to apply for two intent to sponsor forms? I’ve shown my intent to sponsor two of my parents on one intent to sponsor form. So technically won’t I be able to apply for two PR applications one each for my parents?

One person could apply for the right to sponsor parents (or a parent) only once. So if you submitted only one express of interest form, you did everything correctly. Please, do not worry. Just wait for the invitation and sumbit separate packages for each parent (do not forget to include their dependents in each package if they remarried and/or have dependent children).
