Dear Friends,

I am new to this forum. I have just received my WES report. It is been mentioned as :
CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Diploma (two years) and bachelor's degree (four years)

With this, Can I now claim points for two certificates?

Thanks
Harpreet
Hello Harpreet,

confused on which to choose, pls guide me.

ECA report: 3 years equivalency (bachelor's degree focus in Nursing)
then i'm planning to take HOSPITAL UNIT CLERK certificate in Canada. - (why? it is in-demand in canada)

after completing the program and apply via EE should I choose

-2 or more certificates/diploma/degrees, OR
-Bachelor's degree (highest level)

Anyone with similar situation? should I consider taking up Nursing post-graduate certificate instead?

Hi all,

Please help me on this as I have ITA already and I am about to finish my application.

My ECA result is "Diploma (Two years) and bachelor's degree (four years)"

Does this count as "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees"?
Hey, did you ever get this sorted?

Hi Friends,

I want to know If BTEC Level 3 diploma can be used to claim points in Two or More Degrees or diploma category. After completing my class 10th; I started BTEC Level 3 from edexcel and then did Bachelors for which I have an ECA of equivalency to 4 Years degree.

In addition to the above, I want to know, can I just apply for an ECA for BTEC level 3 separately and then claim points for it in two or more degree section (if applicable)? or do I need to send my degree and BTEC diploma together for evaluation again for one ECA?

Please help me out as it's very confusing :/

Thanks in advance.
Hey-I'm in the same situation as you! Were you able to claim for 'Two or more Degrees'? I also have BTEC Level 3 diploma and ECA 4 Year Degree. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Do
No, added what is given on the WES evaluation. There is no option for two or more degrees. It will automatically calculate and give points for "two or more degrees or diploma".

Canadian Equivalency: Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
And Bachelors degree 4 years.
Do you mind me asking how many points you received for Education for having a diploma and a degree?

Hi @canuck78 and other experts, Please help me, it is very important for my life!

I have 3 years IT experience with IELTS band clb 9 in all sections.

I have got ECA report from WES recently, please help me to claim appropriate points-

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Diploma (two years), bachelor's degree (four years)

My education history- I have done 2 years BTEC HND (Higher National Diploma) from Edexcel, London, UK. Then did one year Top Up degree from a UK university. I was given exempted credits for the first two years and only studied final year at university but got full Bachelors Degree certificate. My transcript mentioned my final year credits (120 credits) in details and
Exempt credits for prior learning at level 4 - 120 credits
Exempt credits for prior learning at level 5 - 120 credits
(does not mention anything regarding my diploma)

Total 360 credits and received 3 years bachelors degree certificate!

Now when I was filling EE profile I have filled details of my HND without any problem. Then I have added my Bachelors degree, here I had filled up a question regarding completed academic years, I have written 3 years though in reality I did attend only 1 year but got credits for other two years hence I chose 3 years.

In the question regarding Level of education I chose "Bachelors Degree". Then another question Level of education according to the ECA report I chose again "Bachelors Degree".

After submitting my profile I have received 50 skill transferablity points. I think system awarded me points for "Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees, one must be three or more years long".

Here is my confusion, "one must be three or more years long". I attended bachelors only 1 year but WES evaluated as 4 years bachelors degree hence system awarded me the points. As per the ECA report I do fulfill the requirements as it is clearly says Diploma (two years), bachelor's degree (four years) according to my transcript I may not fulfill that 3 years degree condition. Even if I write One year as the completed academic years my score stays same because level of education is Bachelors Degree.

Now the big question. Is it going to be misrepresentation? During assessment which education duration a VO look at, actual transcript or ECA? And I need a clarification-
How many year I should mention as my completed academic year? 1.5 years (my actual attendance)? 3 years (normal UK degree duration)? Or 4 years (ECA mentioned duration)?

Your help will be much appreciated!

I will definitely let you know once i get the ECA. It's still under review.

Do you have an ECA for BTEC level 3? If yes, then what was the result?

Friends,
I got my Graduation(BA English-3 years) from Kerala University as 3 years Canadian Bachelors degree from WES. Now I persuaded a PG Diploma (PGDCA - 1 year) from Annamalai University. I am planning to send the same for ECA. So will it be positive?
Many of my friends got their 4-year graduation along with this Post graduated Diploma as 2 certificates and claimed the points. But mine is 3+1 (Both from accepted universities). Any idea about what will be the result?

Please don't skip this question, little tensed :)

Unless someone has done the exact degree most likely you will have to wait for your degree assessment frim WES, ECA, etc.

Hi everyone,

I have related question on this topic. I have completed a 4 years program from University of Toronto Mississauga and earned a degree as well as two certificates from Sheridan College because this was a joint program between UTM and Sheridan. In this case, am I qualified for "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" option?

Any advice or feedback would be great! Thanks!

Hello Everyone,

I have a bachelors degree in Pharmacy affiliated to a well known university. I have done PG Program in Clinical Research in an institute for one year. My institute promised that their institute is affiliated to an university but I found out that they were not. The institute is registered with Govt of India.
Now, I want to send this PG Program certificate as a PG Diploma to IQAS for ECA report.

Please share your thoughts, what are my chances of getting a ECA report as graduate with one year diploma.

Thanks a lot

I have done my diploma (3 years ) after 10th and degree 3 years (direct admission to 2nd year) . ECA report says diploma (2 years) + degree (4years).

What should i choose in level of education : For diploma should i select "secondary diploma(high school) " OR "two year program at university, college, trade or technical school." ? Confused between these 2 . As ECA says 2 year diploma , I feel i should select 2nd option "2 year program *** "

Some one who has experience please help
