1 day difference in Presence Calculator and Eligibility period?

I found it very weird when I applied for it. I had to upload a "explanation letter" so that I can explain this to IRCC.

I applied my citizenship application on October 25th.

Physical Presence Calculator asked me to enter the date that I will submit the application, I tick October 25th, and this was showing up.

see how it shows 2016- October 25th to 2021- October 24th.

So I go on, and on the website to apply for the actual application, I put the End date to 2021 October 24th,

it shows me "Your 5-year Eligibility period is from 2016-10-24 to 2021-10-24

I did not want to see the difference, and I tried putting 10-25 as the Eligibility End date, it shows this instead.

No you are not alone, we all were in the same boat & had to blindly follow what's in the physical presence calculator.

I don’t find any explanation for people who apply at exact one day start of eligibility. Wait one week or two and they apply safe and sound. Many people get faster when apply with buffer. Do you think one day will give you any advance to next day people. Nothing.

This mismatch between the Physical Presence Calculator and the Application form, is a known glitch. If you search the forum, other members have brought it up. One needs go by the accurate matching of the 'To' date and you'll be alright with the 'From' date that self-populates on the application.
