How did you do medicals in advance?
I went to the DMP and got the medicals done. They keep spare forms so they can give you one without any additional charge. The flip side of using this method is that your medicals are valid for only a limited period of time.. hence if your processing takes longer than that, you run the risk of going through the medicals once again.

Even if you do make it in time before your medicals' validity expires, the Visa is only valid from the day its approved to the MR validity. hence you have a smaller window to plan your landing.

In my case I took the risk, did the medicals in last June and ended up having now 2 mths left between approval and landing (which for me is sufficient).

Any good news from NDVO?

Hello Raju,
I fall under NOC 0213, and for months(since my AOR on Jan 17, 2011)...haven't received any updates from NDVO, but last week, my ECAS status read out...'Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 29, 2012'...this update sounds some consolation...lets see.

Regards,
Jerry

Thank you Raju; from what I see from my application processing(almost same as yours) time lines...you would be receiving the 'in-process' status soon.
