0213 - Computer and Systems Manager

To all software people.

Do you think that a typical 'Functional Team Lead' position quailify for 0213 category? I don't head the tech department of a company, but am a Functional ERP consultant who goes to client sites and manages teams of 4-5 functional analysts (offshore/onsite) to implement ERP for the client.

I know I have not provided detailed job description and it depends on how I word my job duties, but I am hoping that other s/w consultants would understand what I mean.

well , i think ur designation still is a consultant not lead or manager. Managers r diffrent . consultants onsite\offshore only guide there existing staff ... so wont be lead's or mamangers.

You can twist ur words in job responsibilities\duties but ur companies reference letter should also say the same. And also if CIC enquires the company , the representative should present u as lead or manager .

So just think more about it

depends upon your main duties. if they are more like managerial, then i think you won't have a problem. there's a member on this forum who goes by the name "aanbaan". his job title is a consultant and he applied under 0213. he recently got a medical and passport request. see this page and ask him the questions if you feel like...

dont agree, pal... i am what he is plus a little more responsibilities around pre-sales and i did not twist any words.. just picked whatever was relevant to my job functions from 0213 listing and wrote it down... added a few things that show rich experience... and i got the medicals request this Monday.... and to top it, my designation is Consultant...

so, job functions are important, not designation....

Hey aanbaan,

I have worked in 3 companies so far [ including the present one ] . I am in the process of collecting docs for my final document presentation. My first company have vehemently denied to give any docs in the name. I have got the roles and responsibilities from my prev organization. My current company is an IT major and I doubt they are going to give any. Is it sufficient if I give all docs relating to my job ? Does it suffice?
