【Emergency Situation, Lost Passport, Just Graduated】

Hello Everyone,

I am an international student in Canada and I just graduated from a college.

I am eligible to apply for the PGWP but I just lost my passport while traveling in U.S.

I still have the valid original study permit and I am waiting for the new passport from my embassy (will get the new passport in 1 month).

My study permit will expire on March 30th, 2018.

I did not lose my study permit which has my old Passport number in it.

I also have a detailed police report, copies of my valid entry visa, lost passport and stamped pages.

My question is, Can I apply for the post graduation work permit directly after receiving my new passport?

Any help would be much appreciated !

Yes u can as long as u have police report and new passport qnd expired permit.
No need to worry
Every thing has a way out
Be careful next time.
It's better to ask CIC for this Query. You will recieve multiple different ans for it.Also, its not a big issue to worry.Through UCI number ur information ll be verified
