Yes I am Indian national, but my country of residence is US. Generally files from US are processed at CPC Ottawa.

I called in today after 5-6 weeks. No update on criminality/info sharing. Eligibility is passed and file moved to CPC Ottawa. Did you check with them recently?

The tool you used is for paper based applications. You need to use the same portal through which you submitted your application. Alternatively, you could also call their customer support centers for get latest info on your file. By the way, our timelines and profiles seem to be quite similar...

Just my theory. At certain point (let’s say Jan 2021) when they started processing CEC at full capacity, they had a lot of applications in backlog. So instead assigning all their capacity to clear backlog, they might have split it - some staff to current applications (starting Jan 2021) to avoid...

I don’t have definite answer for the countries involved (US and Mexico), I know people in India were having the same situation until last month and they gave their biometrics in nearby countries. I think you can also give biometrics in US based on this info.
