I had same case and asked IRCC agent what to do. they cautioned me not to carry my spouse and kid PR card from Canada.

As per IRCC, PR card cannot be moved out of Canada without its owner. So only option available is PRTD document.

I got COPR copy and sent photos to IRCC Etobicoke Phots center , they will mail my PR cards to address available. FYIP- I am an inland applicant.
