We got the same response. The email says you can provide the proof by replying and attaching the materials. In our case notes were ordered October 12 and on November 12 they came back with this. PA immediately provided a copy of the visitor extension aor (that has now itself taken over 6 months...

Yep... seems to be a common thing for Quebec applicants at CPC-M. We applied a little bit earlier than you but same situation. Over 4 months now since the CSQ was delivered to CPC-M and no updates or medical request...

Still nothing since CSQ. They (IRCC) are almost 20 days late on responding to our GCMS notes request too.

Just thought I'd provide an update. 15 days after my wife responded to their November 12 email request for proof of her presence in Canada, she received an email acknowledging that the file is overdue and that it has been 'escalated'.

You're right, it takes much less to stop government agencies from working. :D Almost 4 months since receipt of our CSQ and almost 10 months since the CSQ request letter and.....no updates to our file after it got moved to Mississauga.

A single letter is fine. I just looked and the substance of my letter was literally one paragraph, with just a sentence describing the points and what I'd attached as evidence. E.g. "I have been living in the United States since 2007. I attended University here and since graduating have worked...

If the letter requests that you apply to MIDI then a copy of this letter is enough to send with the application in for CSQ.

It's now been 3 months since CPC-M received the CSQ and not a peep yet. New GCMS notes should be coming in the near future for what those are worth. Maybe some day someone will open our file again.

Well, only to say that we flew in with 3 kids in tow and 8 suitcases, and presented our sponsorship approval letter. Basically he just said we’ll almost certainly be done before the 6 months are up anyway and stamped her passport (unfortunately not done, thanks Covid and Quebec!). No questions...
