I thinknyou will be fine. They do just remove that year and recalculate your CRS score. Since the Max is 3yrs and you still have 6yrs it won't affect your score hence you are fine.

As long as you've got an official change of name documents like gazzette etc. You will be fine. Just explain it in your LOE and attach the documents to it.

This This is not necessarily true. I have also heard that what matters is the lead statement and that your roles kind ties into it. The duties listed on the site just gives you a guide of what type of duties is expected.
