If you are UAE resident then medical requirements should've not been there.

Applied through VFS Abu Dhabi on 12th Feb, as per status they are checling the eligibility & background check.

Which visa office you applied from ? City / Country ?

It depends on the date / days when you applied & in case if weekend is in between. BTW it takes 3-4 working days to get t he email from CIC stating that the application ha sbeen received. Which country you have applied ? Which Uni / Coll ? Which in take ?
