It has been discussed in the forum before. It is certainly possible, but very risky. You will be in a foriegn country without your passport not being with you. Got forbids if it gets lost by VFS or in transit. It should be tried only as a last resort of sorts.

I really hope so. Last year Canadian council opened up on 20th Nov after it closed in late March. This was despite of VFS being open since July. But that time they were giving Travel authorization letter and had cancelled college attendence (made it online). This time both are not being done !!

It has been over 1.5 months for me and no reply. Things will move only when Delhi VFS and Canadian High commission opens.

It truely is. I see everyone from Jan has already got approval. Even a lot of Feb first week have got at least a GU. I am not sure what am I supposed to do next. IRCC customer service is giving standard response of...COVID delays, please wait...But for how long and how will the issue get...

anyone has any new news about Delhi VFS opening for passport stamping? This is getting ridiculous now. I am waiting since mid April for my PRTD stamping. No travel authorization letters are being issued stating that we should get passport stanmped, but they don't open that up !!

Congrats. Looking at some other updates, it looks like processing is by receipt date. There were a few updates from Jan 28th and Feb 1st receipt date yesterday also.

Yes, you absolutely can. This question has been asked in multiple forums too many times. This is a very common practice done by Outland candidates that do a 'soft landing'. There is no rule that you cannot do so. The only risk you have is courier getting lost in mail, so use a good company.
