We are being processed in Vancouver not Surrey. Form what I've seen they're both awfully slow. What's more frustrating is that applicants that applied months after we did (in Vancouver) are already done. Unbelievable.

They told us about 4 - 8 weeks but before our 1 year deadline. Given that I waited almost 7 months for a test invite and we are only a few weeks away from 1 year processing I was hoping it would be quicker.

Speaking from experience, you need to be very very patient if you're office is Vancouver. I'm a June 2018 applicant, had to wait more than 6 months to get a test invite, took the test in April 17, 2019 and I am still waiting for an oath invite. When I took the test in Vancouver they asked if anybody wanted to take the test in French. I believe every location should offer both languages.

I guess it really depends on you - if you are willing to wait anywhere between 1 - 3 months (or longer!) to get a new date then don't lose your trip. There's really no way of knowing how long they will take to give you a new date and your location has a lot to do with it. If you have an urgency...

Does anybody know if family applications get interviewed together or separately?

I received my invite on March 21, 2019. Test on April 17th, 2019. I know there were other applicants from June that also got their test invites in March.
