LMO for live-in caregiver is as short as 5 weeks. My brother-in-law and I got the same length of time in processing our LMOs for our live-in caregivers. The delay actually depends how good your employer in providing justification why you should get hired.

Which one are you really trying to verify? LMO or work visa? If the LMO has been issued to you without any pay, it's genuine. If you pay for it, most likely, it's fake. If you receive a passport request, it's a good sign to receive a visa and it's genuine.
