Background check change from NN to IP today

Being a PNP applicant is not necessarily a bad thing because the number of CEC applicants has been increasing sharply since Jan. 2017. This might lead to longer processing time for them...CEC used to be the slowest in the beginning of 2016. So just relax and go as the way it is now. ;D

I think when ns->nn or ip->nn it means the security check is underway. When it changes from nn to ip, the officer is doing a final review on your case. Just my opinion.... :)

I think in our case it will be more like NN->NS->NN->IP or NN->NS->NN->PPR. Just my personal opinion. :D

That is what lots of Oct and Nov. PNP applicants are waiting for(the security check to be completed) Since you are a CEC, your ppr should come very soon once the status changes to in progress. CEC seems to process faster than PNP...
