Yes, I had 0 trouble at the airport. I'm from a visa exempt country, and the officer was very light hearted and we had a few jokes. The guy behind me didn't have it so nice and had lots of questions to answer (same position, waiting for PR)

I was asked for police certs and medical in the same email. After both had been don, I was asked for another police cert that they didn’t ask for in the first request. From everything I’ve read in here, it can be quite random.

Hey, I'm the principal applicant and my partner is Canadian. I'm from the UK so 'visa exempt'. I'm not sure what the chances are for people from a non-visa exempt country. Though, I've read posts in the past where people have got them, so search for those threads. :)
