Hello PVN. Most of the October applicants have received their AOR. Kindly consult the spreadsheet to have an idea about the timeline. My understanding is that you should expect AOR within the first 3 weeks of your application being received by IRCC.

Give it 2-3 weeks after being received.

1. They only need the biographical pages. No need to copy the whole passport. 2. A photocopy is good enough. THey dont require a certified copy.

Fochi i got the update on Ecas on 29 Oct, 2016. But it stated that my IP was since 26 Oct. So it can take few day to update Ecas. So fingers crossed.

Ecas can be delayed in updating. Also for the events like test/interview date you have to take the letter that you will receive from IRCC to the test/interview. Ecas only mention the stage your application is in and that's all.

Richie888 I belive that Montreal does'nt have to do with you not getting the AOR. I think AOR is issued when IRCC at Sydney have actually opened your applciation and believe that all the documents are in place for Processing. Its only when it gets into processing that regional IRCC office come...

For the routine applications the website says around 12 months (IRCC Processing time). However, by looking at the spreadsheet you will realize that it is more like around 6 months if no irregularities. However, you must also consider the fact that a lot of the applications being submitted now...

Very unlikely with the current processing times that you will be able to take oath by January 2017. For October applicants it should be around Feb/March that we will be attending Oath ceremony.
