PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

Just an update on my wife's situation; she's finally received PPR yesterday, so roughly 6 months processing. Note that the portal is still showing the same "Wrong application" for "Return reason", for anyone wondering. I actually suspect they don't update anything in that portal once you...

How long will it likely take to get my PRTD? I am in China.

Just an update on my wife's situation; she's finally received PPR yesterday, so roughly 6 months processing. My wife has been following other people's PRTD timelines in China on Xiaohongshu. She noticed that this is how long it typically takes if your application is complete and you meet the...

How long will it likely take to get my PRTD? I am in China.

My wife applied for a PRTD in China back in February. She's still waiting for a decision/PPR. According to her GCMS notes, her file was transferred to the Beijing VO for RO assessment back in March. Her eligibility assessment is still "Not Started" as of May, when the notes were generated. I...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

My wife applied them for herself as a PR.

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

Hi @8221129, GCMS notes are the actual case notes of your file. You can search these forums for more information on them, but essentially these notes give you the true status of your application. You can apply for the notes through the IRCC under the Access to Information Act here for a $5 fee...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

From the GCMS notes that we received. Here are the high-level assessments: I should note that GCKey always had the review of eligibility as "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements", but I figure that's just a generic status and doesn't mean anything. The GCMS notes make...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

Hi @kirk1978, We're still waiting. We've been ordering GCMS notes every month to keep track of things. From those notes, it appears my wife's file has been sitting in "Registry" at her local visa office since March, but there hasn't been any actual movement on her file since February 20th. Her...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

As a follow-up to my previous post, for anyone interested: We haven't received any updates, but my wife got her GCMS notes last Friday (shockingly quick!), which she ordered shortly after being able to link her application on GCKey. There isn't too much exciting in there, but we learned that a...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

Hey, @kirk1978. Yeah, my wife submitted February 17th. We haven't had any updates since we were finally able to link the application via GCKey a couple weeks ago. I assume this means we had a VAC agent do a completeness check and it's now with a visa officer, probably taking longer than usual...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

Hi, @she-she. My wife applied non-urgently, as we don't have a legitimate reason for urgent processing outside of a plane ticket and us wanting our family reunited in Canada soon. My wife's processing time is a bit complicated by the fact she's a couple months short of meeting her RO in terms...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

Hey, kimmagg. Have you tried linking your application via the IRCC portal using a GCKey account? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html My wife was able to do so about a week ago using her UCI and family name, although you can link it through...

PRTD Application Returned - Reason "wrong application"

My wife's PRTD application is also experiencing this "glitch": She hasn't received any updates since the initial submission, which was a month ago now. Not sure if anyone else has tried this for a PRTD application, but you can glean a tiny bit more info from the JSON response that's used to...

Hello everyone, Just wanted to say that we got DM on ECAS on the PA side this morning. Hopefully others will have updates today, as well.

GCMS NOTES WELL EXPLAINED HAS NEVER BEFORE UNTIL NOW

Hello everyone, I got my wife's GCMS notes in mid February (so they are from around mid January) and I noticed that all 4 assessments are passed, and in the case of security, it has 'S.15(1)' in the corner. The last note says at the end, "Pass the eligibility assessment. Decision entered. Valid...

    Hong Kong timeline

Hey Grizzlyman, seems like our timelines have been very similar. My wife is on a Chinese immigration forum and she said a lot of people with similar timelines are getting PPR already. Really frustrating that the background checks are taking so long, but I guess it's out of the CIC's control...

    Hong Kong timeline

Hello everyone, We ordered my wife's GCMS notes recently, and the officer in HK assigned to our file had no concerns with our relationship. There was a note saying they entered their decision on eligibility and passed the file on "to Canada-based Officer to proceed with statutory assessment."...

    Beijing timeline

As far as I know, Beijing doesn't process family class applications anymore. All Chinese who applied outland are processed at the Hong Kong visa office. You should check out this thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/hong-kong-timeline-t82193.0.html Since your...

Congratulations to everyone who recently got DM, PPR, etc. I noticed the background check for our application recently changed to In Progress on MyCIC.

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

That's not true. Outland can definitely link to MyCIC. Another display of the call centre's ignorance. It seems the most success people had in linking to MyCIC is using the personal information of the PA from IMM 0008.

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I believe RPRF, or Right of Permanent Residence Fee, is the same as the landing fee. You do pay three fees, they are: Right of Permanent Residence Fee: $490.00 Sponsorship Application Fee: $75.00 Principal Applicant Fee: $475.00 Total...
