Thanks!!! :) Really have no idea as I received PPR while ecas, eligibility and background check still showed In Progress. While many people got theirs after DM or passed eligibility.

Passport should be sent via VAC in Hanoi or HCM. It takes approximate 4-6 weeks to get pp and document back. Yet I observe they process quite quick lately. I submitted pp on Oct 25 and got back today Nov 11.

Hi Papul, you also need to send the attached letter. I printed all but the vfs officer took only the first 3 pages.

Does anyone have any idea why Singapore and Manila Vo have been so slow recently? Last year, many people got visa within 6-8 months if they had interview waived. But now, most Sep/ Oct applicants havent had update for so long... I'm a Mar'16 applicant via SVO and start worrying...

Yea, for the case I mentioned above, they have long time knowing each other, many time meeting before marriage. Of course their application was also well prepared. Then I think age difference is not a big deal at all :)

I agree with Kayaker, your wife lives in Afghanistan so it would be Afghanistan ... By the way, not the Canada embassy processes our application but the Canada Visa office, you shouldnt worry about that :)

I know one case with 20 year old difference (woman is younger than man) but with strong evidences of genuine relationship. And they got interview waived.
