it seems at least one person did this (travel to us without PR card but with copr and work permit/visa ). in summary. in land board, you can travel use passport and copr. for other ase, it is possible to use copr, work permit/visa to travel, but you take the risk.

same here. just phoned CIC call center and told me that put an request for explanation for whatever organization who is taking care of new PR card processing. Either they will send out the PR card or reply an email to me.

just called cic call center and said my application was delayed for three weeks! I was landed in Apr. 27, and the normal process time should be June 24. Now I need to wait till July 15, if my PR card is still not issued, he can send a message to reminder or whatever.
