skajub is right. with the change in 2015 all days before pr-status don't count. so you have to be in Canada for 4 years before you are able to apply for citizenship. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp#time

that might be right for the main applicant for the pr, but not his family members. at least, when we applied in 2010, I didn't have to pass a language test. only my husband had to take the test for our application.

I'll cross my fingers for you, that it doesn't take too long. Usually - if yourself are asking CBSA for the records - it takes around 4 weeks (what I now found out through other people). I'm not sure how fast the officers have a reply if they ask for the documentation.
