There should be no gaps in your time history.. You should have mentioned 2015-12- 2016-05 in second line.. Employment or marital status has nothing to do with your citizenship status.. I am sure your application will be returned.. Apply again soon and save your time..

call cic,let them know that u crossed your 12th month mark and also apply for atip notes.. MP requests doesn't help much as long as you get to know the status from cic itself because the reasons they give you on phone will be the saame reason they give to MP.

You have to declare each trip outside canada during your eligibility period..

Mate, just to be clear, Mississauga Office is one of the worst and unpredictable offices if your file is processing there. Expect delay to about more than 12 months, some are waiting for more than 18+ months, if ur lucky might be >12 months.. I say unpredictable because i have seen many...
