I know it will be hard, but try to land along with your wife before the baby is here. Because once the application been closed you cannot add any family members to it, instead you have to go through the lengthy and costly process of family sponsorship. You may double check by googling this...

The Calgary office is in Service Canada building in the downtown. You need to call CIC call center and they will request from Calgary office to make an appointment for you. You cannot contact Calgary office directly.
