Landed - May 24. Photo resubmit - July 19. Second Photo request - October 5.

More frustration... Yesterday got a second Photo Re-submission Request. Pics again didn't meet the specification. Took pics at Magenta Photo Studio at Fairview Mall Toronto, so ppl, don't go there. Landed in the end of May and it's been 4,5 months since...

Still nothing man. As I mentioned above, last week I was told that it apparently takes 6 weeks after they note your pics as received / upload them. I gave up, gonna just wait.

I also called last week and was told my pics were uploaded on Sept 6, that lady also told me that it usually takes 2 weeks after uploading to print the card. 2 weeks passed and I called yesterday: I was told that it takes 6 weeks since "acknowledgement of receipt" which in our case is September...

My pics were received on July 24th, still nothing...

Not necessarily, nobody knows if your new pics meet their requirements.

How come your photo retake application got approved within 4 days when all of us are waiting for over 2 months? o_Oo_Oo_O

Just called CIC and was also told June 7th... I actually called a couple of days ago too and it was also June 7th. How is this even possible? A month ago they were doing May 24. Maybe they mixed up June 7th with July 6th?

I applied in May 2016 (CEC Inland), so it's over 9 months waiting for me... Call centre says my case is with CSIS and I should wait. It's been under security check since October, for over 4 months and I seriously don't understand why it takes so long. Any suggestions, guys?

I've travelled to 7 or 8 countries excluding Canada and my home country. In my case, there is one repeating destination in Europe where my boyfriend is from, which might have risen questions.

You can see previous messages. There are a few ppl left who have background in progress. The cases are at the Security Intelligence Service. We think it might have smth to do with big travelling history. Nobody knows how long it's going to take for them to verify all the info.

I don't think change of background status to in progress means your file went to CSIS, it could be later.

I'd also agree about travelling. I searched a bit and seems they need around 2,5 months for issuing "clear" report and if smth catches their attention, it might take very long time to investigate.

Basically always different, last time I was told to call back in 2 weeks to see if there is any update.

Anyways, call them every week or two asking about the status. Hopefully they will finish with your check soon.
