Thanks @fkl. Actually my and my spouse's applications were sent in 2 separate dockets, this is reason which I presume has resulted in no response for SOWP yet.

@saibaba92 both study visa and SOWP together thru paper based. I submitted in Mumbai and it is in VFS Delhi. I got my stamped passport. I applied for Univ of Ottawa

Even I got my study visa in 3 weeks.. for SOWP 6 weeks wait is over.. 2more weeks to go

@Yadav- Please keep us posted abt ur updates.. Even I am waiting for SOWP for my husband, we applied for study permit and SOWP together on May 13th. My study permit is approved.

@Saibaba92 Even mine case is similar to urs, I applied study permit for myself and open work permit for my husband on May 13th. My study visa got approved but my husband's visa is still awaited. Processing time for SOWP is 2 months.

On Visa tracking website the passport status is updated to 'Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre' though I have nnot received any email regarding the approval/rejection :( I applied on 13th may

@pritpal0882, Even my profile is somewhat like yours.. I have done my BE in CS and have 8yrs of exp in Software Industry.. and I am married.. I got my admit for dis yr's fall session.. as per my understanding exp shouldn't be d criteria for granting study visa by Canada HC..

Even I applied from Mumbai on 13th May by attaching the medicals upfront..but still the visa status shows 'Under Processing' from last 3 weeks

Even I was under the same confusion whether to apply owp for spouse at a later stage or to apply it together.. But finally I made up my mind to take risk and applied together last week; study permit for myself and owp for spouse.. Hope to get a positive reply now!!
