Just got an email on Friday for "additional proof that your sponsor resides in Canada." Emailed a bunch of documents and also mailed copies. Also info on RPRF (already paid when applied), and police certificate (sent in with an absolutely spotlessly complete application package). So I'm...

Just saw last Tuesday that I'm "In Process" but with a start date of June 26 (the day after my sponsor was approved), I guess it takes a while to update the status online.....

I think coming from the States can be quicker as it's easier for CIC to verify documentation, etc. Plus I won't have to send them my passport (or have to demonstrate fluency in at least one of Canada's official languages).
