Hi Richard, it is for ppl with closed work permit, but for BOWP expiry of current closed work permit must be within 4 months and you must have received AOR. I know you can apply if you applied for PR under CEC. Not sure about other programs. Hope this helps.

Make sure you satisfy 4 months rule. If your current work permit expires in more then 4 months you cannot apply online. Also scroll down :) It actually happened once to me, after questionnaire, I only saw IEC, below that was another thing.

That rule doesn't make much sense as processing times are few months. That would mean at least 4-5 months waiting!

Tnx for the answer Lisa. Why do you think I won't be eligible if I'm on closed work permit? I have LMO based work permit and applied for PR under CEC. So all criteria will be meet then.

Anybody knows what is expected processing time to get LMIA based work permit. I have 99% chance to get bridging open work permit in 6 months so not sure is LMIA then worth even trying.

When do you guys expect to get medical request according to current times? I was thinking it will be in June but now it doesn't seem like it will. And do we expect the whole process to finish this year?

Currently is 86 days for application with new employer. And I think it doesn't include mailing time. Processing times got so slooow.

I applied February 13th but I am paper applicant so I assume I shouldn't expect work permit yet.
