Hmm, I am on an indeterminate LMIA exempt job (code C31, under R205), employer National Research Council. Looks like I will get 50 points to push my total to ~520. Now, hope the next cut-offs are not over 600 LOL

We need to wait and see what the next cut-off points are. 50 LMIA points may not compensate for point deduction due to age. I agree that 200 points should be given to other NOCs. How many NOC 00 applicants, I wonder? foreigners with NOC 00 jobs may be very few.

I agree. PhD max 140 points < Bachelor (120 points) + 30 points (for a degree from a Canadian Univ.). And PhDs are older -> less point due to age. Probably PhDs are not welcome in Canada :o

Hello, Could you please update your situation now? Thanks. I currently have a NOC A continuing job but LMIA-exempt. I had over 8 year working experience in the US before moving to Canada but no Canada schooling or Canada work experience. Now I am kind of frustrated with that EE/LMIA-exempt profile.
