I've requested GCMS notes and from now on I'll be on their case on biweekly basis.

They sound nicer. We've never received such a detailed response from them. External agencies would be for European citizens for example Interpol.

We got a feedback from our Member of Parliament - Eligibility passed, background checks in progress and no specific reason for delay. :( He advised us to contact him again in three months if we don't receive any updates till then.

I don't rely anymore on any average processing times or procedures or any common sense or anything. :( At this point it could take another year.

16 months today. CEC. No nothing. We've contacted our member of parliament to inquire about our file with CIC. Don't expect too much to happen since he can't affect the process in any way (which is not a bad thing) but just hoping he'll get a more detailed feedback than "You're in process"...

I've got the exactly same reply as the above. Generic reply that application is in process. No sh** Sherlock. . After 16 months that's all they have to say. How sad and frustrating this is today. How easy they kill every hope in me.

I'm starting to lose destination out of sight. It's been a week since we requested status of application and no reply yet. Doesn't sound good

Mine says the same since last documents submitted in October. From my experience CIC profile means nothing. Our interview needed section has never changed to required even though it was needed and done.

The one in May they have replied in less than a week. I am always polite, but in person when people meet me they think I'm too official lol. We've wrote that we would like to request for the status of the application and as per their advise from May we wanted to keep communication at minimum...
