In that case, you may not sponsor your brother later on. I would say, just go on with whatever you have in your certificate and keep dob of your brother with real difference and ask your brother (if he wants to join you later on) to change his all documents as per this dob.

@navali From my own experience, as mentioned by explorer101, i submitted docs without my birth certificate, as in my country, the designated office/authority does not issue birth certificate who were born before some date, as there were no rule to issue the birth certificate at that time. More...
