    With my past experience.... Don't blindly believe what the consultants say, Do some research online. After all it's your Visa and you might be asked some question at the POE too. It's easy to fool when you're ignorant. :P

    SOP is not mandatory! There have been cases where student have received their permit without a SOP. I think its better if one does, as it explains your situation.

    Search for Study permit checklist! That will give you an idea on what docs you need, Of course one needs to submit some documentation to prove his authenticity. About "won't leave after study" you write about that in the SOP.

    Request your university for individual marks card, some Unis do provide it. If they can't do that, submit as it is with official transcripts. Mention that your situation in the SOP or get letter from the uni stating you they don't issue individual marks cards. I hope this helps you.
