HI, Does anyone know how CIC works? Some applicants who applied for immigration got their AOR in 3-5 weeks, others waited for 10 months or more!.

That is weird. I know applicants who applied in August and got their AOR in Jan 2015!I dont know how CIC works!

Hello everyone, CIO got my application in 27 May 2015. I did not even get my AOR yet. If you sent your application in the second mid of May 2014, please let me know whether you got your AOR or not?

Re: waited for 9 months No, I emailed them and they did receive it. Does AOR number start with EP letters? My roomate got a confirmation email that includes an application number that starts with EP letters in 3 months but I haven't got that yet.

Hey, It looks the majority of application that were submitted starting from May 2014 got delayed for some reasons. A friend of mine applied in March April March and got his file number in 3 weeks.

Hi All, I emailed CIC on August 10st, 2014 about my permanent application that they received on May 30, 2014. They replied on Sept 19, 2014 to that email in August saying that my application is still waiting for review. After 3.5 month they havent reviewed my application in Sydney yet! Good luck

Hey, You have waited between May 2013- May 2014 and you didnt get your file number? Did they send you the file number eventually? Did you apply form Canada or outside Canada? Cheers!
