You think so? I don't think a Japanese citizen requires a VISA, do you know what it would be instead? The meds are July 16th - I'm afraid they will only allow until that time. There are personal family issues that required a longer stay in Japan, so it's unfortunate if they provide a tight deadline.

Any possibility of getting an extension?

Question for the forum - does anyone know how long the applicant has to land in Canada once they get their VISA? Is there a generic deadline? Do they usually try for the medical date? Would appreciate feedback. Thx GT

Hi Heather - what was received is called an Appendix A. It's a request for passport type information. Passport #, expiry date, eye colour etc and passport photos, if not already provided, but no actual passport. Have you heard of this before?

Hello - no updates here either and SA was approved Nov 21. The Manilla VO spreadsheet right now is showing movement for April, and May applications ...some 1 or 2 June.

Tanli - do you have access to the Manila VO spreadsheet? It'll give you a good idea of timelines. It seems like right now April/May applications are getting traction. I don't see updates on any of the July applications.

Scosan, is there anything unusual in your application that would cause such a delay? I agree with the below post - start reaching out to the Manila office. Can you call them?

Wow! That's insane -especially since there are so many applications after yours that have already been approved for Visa's. Your spouse is a Japanese citizen? Are you both living in Japan?
